Apple Butter
Ingredients
• 4 medium granny smith apples
• ¾ c brown sugar
• ¼ c water
• 1 t cinnamon
• 1 t lemon juice
• 1/3 t ground allspice
• 1/3 t ground nutmeg
• 1/3 t cloves
• ½ t vanilla
Directions

Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low heat for 8 hours (until apples are very tender).

Mash apples with fork.

Cook, uncovered, for 1-2 more hours, stirring occasionally until thick.

Cool for about 2 hours.

Store in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
